THESE ARE SOME PICS OF MY CURRENT BIKE
Excuse the quality of the pics! (cheap camera)
This is my bike in it's very early rebuild days sporting a hand made alloy tank. I have tried to junk as much weight as possible i.e hacking of the rear rails, most of the wiring and connected sundries being cut out etc.
Straight cut timing gears have been fitted and a sump extension to stop the oil pressure forcing oil out of the breather when sustaining high speed lunacy. I also run a set of hand made open pipes which apart from being very loud(he he)really open up the breathing at the higher end of the rev range. This however makes the bike hard to ride sedately around town as in town you live in the flat spot which does cover quite a chunk of the rev range.
The obvious remedy to that, is to ride it around town quite quickly!! Apart from re-jetting, the carbs are standard 36 mills with a set of k&n's.An upgrade to 40 mill would be nice when I have some spare cash, so that will probably never happen.
